Be a missionary is what Jesus calls you to do.
Every single time I have the opportunity to serve in Kenya, I realize that I do not assign enough time in my life to count my blessings. Do you have enough water to take a shower? You are overblessed. Do you have food on your table for yourself and your family? You are blessed indeed. Do you have access to medication if something is not as it should be health wise? You are truly blessed. Do you have access to education? A bed to sleep? A home where you can feel comfortable? Gues what? You are so blessed! And Jesus’s calling is so clearly telling you, count your blessings and be a missionary!
So impressed
This time, I was also impressed to meet people who were once children or young students who received help from Commit Ministries with their school fees and yesterday, when I was meeting them, they were all grown up and now doctors at the medical clinics… I mean real doctors! The listened also the calling of Jesus wh was telling them clearly: “be a missionary”

You see, in Kenya if you have no access to education, you have no chance for the future. The best you can get with no education as a man is to provide taxi service by way of a Piki-Piki (a small motorbike) or a tuk-tuk (a motorized tricycle with a small cover).
Without a high school education, the best a woman can do is to harvest avocados and carry them atop her head for 10 miles to get to the local market and hopefully sell them since the competition is fierce.
So because education is key to Kenyans, Commit Ministries International has developed an effective school fees sponsorship program which also provides for furthering school development.
What did we accomplish?
On this trip, Commit Ministries International was able to put the finishing touches on a school dormitory and dining hall at a school for disabled children. More projects soon to help build a laboratory, teachers dorms, and more classrooms. To be a missionary is not boring at all!

They are recruiting another team for November 5 and I’m going again. Would you like to come??
