Kenya! Help Build a Disabled Children Vocational Center & Host Medical Outreach June 13-23, 2025

Your $3285 team member fee includes round-trip airfare from just about every major city worldwide! You will be part of a team helping to build a vocational training center at a special needs school, a classroom at a nearby secondary school, and helping to host two primary care, community wide medical outreach camps at rural schools in Western Province Kenya...lots of opportunities to share your faith and build solid relationships. This trip will change your life!

YOUR $3285 trip fee includes RT air travel and this opportunity is open to everyone!

The team member fee also includes hotel and host lodging, campstyle lodging, most of your meals, in-country flights, ground transportation, medicines for the outreach, a daytime Safari Game Drive, and some of the materials related to the project. You will be part of a team that is helping with on-going, light construction needs for a vocational training center at a school for disabled children. Your team will also create walkways and pathways for wheelchair access at two of the schools and help our staff interview candidates for scholarships. Your group will also be helping to do light work on a classroom at a secondary school in a nearby slum that was created mostly for orphans. The schools are located in the mountains of Western Province near a large rain forest. Yeah, you'll be doing all of this…really! And don't worry about experience, we'll train you. Our teams always work alongside locals helping to provide the labor to make concrete blocks, dig foundations, mix concrete, apply paint, and do whatever else it is that we can to make this dream a reality.

And the Ministry of Health provides nurses and doctors to help treat the medical needs of hundreds of local people, seniors, and students, many of whom have never seen a doctor before…and you'll be helping these caring people who have volunteered their time to give back to the people they truly love. Your group will host at least two of these community-wide primary care medical camps. Lots of opportunities to make new friends, hold babies, and pray with people who need to be held in prayer too. And at least one Prayer Walk is scheduled at one of the schools we serve where several hundred people gather to walk the school grounds as they lift up their students and school needs in prayer to Jesus; this is always a great time!

And we won't wear you out. Past teams managed to get out and visit Lake Victoria for an afternoon and others went to the Equator. Your group will also take part on a day time safari Game Drive to see the wild animals at home in one of the famous Kenya game parks. This is an excellent opportunity to answer God's call on your heart to serve with an unselfish group in an area of Africa where everyone truly needs to know that Jesus loves them! Once we have completed the mission, the team will debrief before going home.

This service opportunity will change your life!

Your team member fee of $3285.00 includes round trip international airfare from most major cities worldwide. Your team will help with light construction on a school for disabled students in a primitive area of Kenya. Your team will take part and host at least 2 medical camps for the communities we serve. For many of the locals, this will be the first time they ever see a doctor. We'll also be involved in two fresh water projects at a newly-founded secondary school in a slum just outside of Kakamega in Western Province. We provide the training, you provide the dirty hands and clothes! This is definitely a work trip but whenever possible, we'll venture out to see Lake Victoria, the Equator, and one of the famous Kenya game parks. This trip will change your life!

This mission trip is open to everyone! Your trip fee of $3285.00 includes round trip international airfare from most major cities worldwide. The team member fee also includes medicines for the medical camps, most of your meals, ground transportation, in-country air travel, some of the materials related to the work project, and secure host and hotel lodging.

You will help with light construction on a much-needed vocational training building for disabled students at a Special Needs school in rural Kenya. You will also be helping to create walkways for disabled students and their wheelchairs. The schools need more dorm space and the dorms they have need more mosquito nets; you'll help provide and install these too. One of the schools needs a classroom built and you and your team will help with some of the block making and mix cement to put the walls together…you will really be doing this! And no experience is necessary and there is no shortage of children and even older students with whom you can make friends. We'll teach you everything you will need to do; everyone takes part! Commit Ministries also partners with our friends at the Ministry of Health who are incredibly gracious to our teams. They provide qualified doctors and nurses and you and your team will help them. The camps can last a day or even two but everyone will receive primary care in these areas where medical facilities are few and far between. You will be part the Jesus-serving Team that helps these communities make changes at their schools to meet the mounting challenges in medicine, equality, and even economic reform. We will also visit several other schools to offer encouragement and assess their upcoming needs to see how we might help in the future.

You are needed. Think of it; even if you just wish to share with any of the classes at the schools, play volleyball, basketball, or soccer, visit the grade schools next door, or just hold the greatest kids in the world, you will never forget these experiences! Even though experience is never required, we could benefit by having those on our team who know a bit about construction, brick work, block work, well drillers, water tank fabricator, Hydroponics, Agroponics, plumbing, solar, concrete workers, electricians, medicine, doctors, nurses, first aid, and other related fields. After all, we don't know everything but have very qualified team leaders to help you learn how to do much of the needed work.

Not all work and no play…this team will take a safari game drive at a national game park to view wild animals in their natural habitat. We'll also do some shopping for souvenirs at the Maasai market and finish our debriefing in Nairobi before going home. Time permitting, we'll do a bit of sightseeing too to places like Lake Victoria or the Equator.
