KENYA – EAST AFRICA

Help Build Vocational Center at a School for Disabled Children in Kenya & Host Primary Medical Camps

YOUR $3285 trip fee includes RT air travel! This opportunity is open to everyone! The team member fee also includes hotel and camp-style lodging, most meals, in-country flights, ground transportation, medicines for the outreach, a daytime animal Safari, and materials related to the project. Our team will be helping with on-going construction needs for a boys dormitory at a school created mostly for orphans in the mountains of Western Province. Our team works alongside locals helping to provide the labor to make concrete blocks, dig the foundation, and do whatever it is that we can to make this dream a reality. We will also host at least three community-wide primary care medical camps with oversight from the Ministry of Health and visit or help with a project at Hope House, a home for disabled children. You may also take part on a day time safari to see the animals at one of the famous Kenya game parks. Experience is not required. Once we have completed the mission, the team will debrief before going home. This service opportunity will change your life!
Team member fee is $3885 and includes airfare! Help a community do light construction on an orphan school and special needs school dormitory in a primitive area of Kenya and host several medical camps. We finished the girls dormitory in 2019 and the boys are feeling a bit slighted but our team will soon fix that! We provide the training, you provide the dirty clothes! Our team will also host at least three or more primary care medical camps for different rural communities…for many locals, this will be the first time they ever saw a doctor. And whenever possible, we’ll venture out to see Lake Victoria, the Equator, and the Uganda border communities. We’ll also do some light shopping and take a safari in one of the famous Kenya game parks.

Help Build a Shelter at a School for Disabled Children in Kenya & Host 3 Medical Camps
May 30 - June 9, 2024

This mission trip is open to everyone! Your trip fee of $3885.00 includes round trip airfare, most meals, ground transportation, in-country air travel, medicines for the medical outreach, materials related to the work project as well as secure camp style and hotel lodging!
You will help with light construction on a much-needed dormitory for an orphan secondary school in rural Kenya, help with the dorm at a special needs school, and assist with three or more medical camp outreaches, and meet lots of kids and their families; everyone takes part! This is a wonderful opportunity to serve Jesus among some of the areas of greatest need in rural Kenyan communities where HIV/AIDS has orphaned nearly 70% of the children. We partner with our friends at the Ministry of Health who are incredibly gracious to our teams. The camps can last a day or even two but everyone will receive care in these areas where medical facilities are few and far between. You will be part the COMMIT Team that helps these communities make changes at their schools to meet the mounting challenges in medicine, equality, and in economics.
You are needed and even if you just wish to share with any of the classes at the schools, play volleyball, basketball, or soccer, visit the grade schools next door, or just hold the greatest kids in the world! Even though experience is never required, we could benefit by having those on our team who know a bit about construction, brick work, block work, well drillers, water tank fabricator, Hydroponics, Agroponics, plumbing, solar, concrete workers, electricians, medicine, doctors, nurses, first aid, and other related fields. After all, we don’t know everything but have very qualified team leaders to help you learn how to do much of the needed work.
Not all work and no play…this team will take a safari game drive at a national game park to view wild animals in their natural habitat. We’ll also do some shopping for souvenirs at the Maasai market and finish our debriefing in Nairobi before going home.
