We don't have any hidden costs as some others have. Your team will assist much-needed indoor and outdoor so much needed maintenance and repair works to a Local Pastor's House. We will also assist selfless, volunteers and local churches by hosting a three days-long VBS, engaging in street evangelism and prayer walk within a rural community. This will be the time of your life!
This is Pastor John Vlad. Long ago he was known as a harsh and violent man. Almost 25 years ago, Jesus revealed Himself to John, in one of the most tense moments of his life, when he was eager for inner peace and restoration over his almost broken family.
His life was turned upside down, and from a violent husband, he became a man of peace in his community.
He had ever since a great desire to let everyone know that the old John has passed away, and a new John, a totally changed man, was changed by Jesus Christ and ready to live for Him.
Now he is a local pastor in one of Romania's poorest and remote areas, in the Oltenia region, in the Lisa village of the Olt Shire, the village where he was born.
This village doesn't have a local store, the closest one is about 20 minutes long drive away.
He has a heart for his village and for the surrounding communities, where the evangelical presence is almost none.
Alongside a group of devoted Christians from Transilvania, he is developing a local Community Center that will serve as a local canteen for the people in need, as a worship place, and as dorms for the teams that will come alongside to help in furthering the Kingdom of God.
But today, is not about the community center. Today is about John. Almost 4 months ago, he had a heart attack, a heart attack that nearly killed him. The Lord made a miracle and his life was preserved.
There are a few options available for us to keep John alive. One is to replicate, or to clone him, the other is to work alongside him to extend the well being of his heart.
Because we are looking at the later option, I will introduce in a few images, John's house, made out of dirt and, full of cracks, in desperate need of a new roof, of a central heating system, of tile works, and outside insulation.
John's heart won't make it over the winter, if he doesn't have the same temperature across his entire house.
This is why, Commit Ministries International is extending this invitation to you, to be a part of the next team that will work at John's house.
September 19-28 offers you the opportunity to save a life, and staying in a gap for a man of God that works in a dry mission field, to serve through VBS in the life of children of the Lisa Village Community, through street evangelism and prayer over the region.

We don't have any hidden costs as some others have. Your team will assist much-needed indoor and projects for a Local Church Community Center. We will also assist selfless, volunteer medical staff and local churches by hosting a week-long VBS and two days of a primary care medical outreach along one of the rural border communities. This will be the time of your life!
COMMIT Ministries International is partnering with two of the local churches and medical partners near TURNU MAGURELE to help them provide desperately-needed medical care for elderly and people with a disability near the BULGARIAN border in a small village community build around the local church. Most people here are elderly and seldom see a doctor about their physical needs. We'll also work with the local church near Rosiori de Vede to care for those reaching this Gypsy village through their food outreach and food preparation while actively singing, playing soccer, and sharing the Good News with the community. Besides a medical outreach with volunteer doctors and nurses, our team will provide a 5-day Vacation Bible School to share with even the youngest and to the teens and to the young adults. NO experience is needed!
For the next days, you will have many opportunities in getting your hands dirty in doing indoors and outdoors light building construction work to a local Community Center Project who desperately need help with their newly constructed kitchen. We'll also help build a dining area so that even more can be done to expand thris very successful outreach. This project brings people together from this community in joy or in sorrow, to share a meal, or to spend quality time together. This is a great opportunity to show the love of Jesus getting actively involved in the life of a rural community who desperately need to know that Jesus loves them. This is something huge you can do in the name of Jesus as you build solid, long-lasting relationships with the people and churches we visit. What a great way to truly grow your faith. This trip will give you a new perspective over the Eastern church culture and will definitey change your life!
After these few days spent in immersion ministry, you will have the opportunity to do a little tour of Romania starting in Brasov area in Transylvania – the extremely beautiful mountain side of Romania, where you will visit Dracula's Castle known by the locals as the Bran Castle from the novel of Bram Stoker, and then to Constanta at the Black Sea shore and then to Bucharest where you will spend your last day visiting the House of the Parliament, the heaviest building ever been built by the former Romanian comunist leader – Ceausescu.
